Code of conduct

Candy Group has signed the Code of Conduct on ethical business behaviour developed by Ceced Italia, the association of domestic and professional appliance manufacturers in Italy. The Code commits the companies to the sustainable development and production of appliances of improved energy efficiency to contribute to the reduction of CO2 emissions into the atmosphere.

The Italian Code shares the basic principles with the Code of Ethical Conduct by Ceced (the European organization of appliance producers) and comply with CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) rules on human relations (at supplier’s sites, too) and responsibilities towards consumers, society as a whole, the environment. Candy Group has already signed the European Code.

Signing the Italian Code, Candy Group also declares to act positively within the association and to agree on future market surveillance programmes, which could be implemented in Italy to protect customers from illegal import products, very often marred by low quality standards and doubtful safety.

The principles in the two Codes have already been translated into corporate policies implemented worldwide by the Group.
